The school has options available for tuition assistance for K-12 students: School Scholarships and/or Financial Aid. To be considered for school scholarships or financial aid, K-12 students must first apply for any available state scholarships, such as the Ohio EdChoice or West Virginia Hope Scholarships. See our Scholarships Page for more information on these programs. Please note: Preschool students are NOT eligible for school scholarships or financial aid.
School Scholarships
East Richland Christian Schools’ school board and staff believe that God would not desire that any family wanting a Christian education for their child be unable to attend because of financial reasons. We have developed a diverse scholarship program to fit your family’s individual needs. School Scholarships are awarded yearly and must be applied for each school year. School Scholarship applications may be turned in at the Finance Office located in the Middle School building. Please see the chart below for an overview of the scholarships offered.
Family Scholarship
Having your children at the same school can not only be helpful for your logistics but for their emotional growth as well. To assist families with multiple children at our school, we offer a family scholarship for when the cost of paying for full tuition for multiple children causes financial hardship for the family. Please note: the Family Scholarship does not apply to Preschool students.
Christian Ministry Scholarship
Having a parent working in Christian Ministry is often a financial sacrifice for that family. To assist these families and to help lift this burden, we offer a Christian Ministry scholarship. Award amounts will be based on financial need.
Service Scholarship
Volunteers play an important part here at East Richland Christian Schools. Parents with a history of past and current service of volunteer involvement at our school are eligible for the $500 Service Scholarship.
Student Leadership Scholarship
Developing the next generation of leaders is part of our school’s mission. We want to recognize student leaders and reward them by offering a $500 Student Leadership Scholarship. Students in 4th – 12th grade who demonstrate leadership qualities among their ERCS peers are eligible to apply. Please note: At least one reference from a member of our faculty or staff must accompany your completed Student Leadership application.
Out of State Scholarship
Currently, the West Virginia Hope scholarship does not fully cover our tuition prices, and there are limits to which students are eligible for that scholarship. To assist our out-of-state families in this situation, those families may apply for our Out of State Scholarship. Award amounts will be based on financial need.
Administrator’s Scholarship
Our Administrator’s Scholarship is available for all students K-12 in need of financial assistance. This is our catch-all scholarship for families that do not qualify for any of the scholarships listed above. Additionally, all families in need can apply for this scholarship in addition to any scholarships above. Award amounts will be based on financial need.
Financial Aid
East Richland’s financial aid program is available to those families demonstrating a financial need and who do not qualify for the Ohio EdChoice or West Virginia Hope scholarships. Financial aid is awarded yearly and must be applied for each school year.
Financial Aid applications may be turned in at the Finance Office located in the Middle School building. All information provided will be held in strict confidence and reviewed only by administration and the School Board. Financial Aid will be based on the following priorities:
- Students returning from the previous school year and who are members/regular attendees of East Richland Friends Church.
- New students from families who are members/regular attendees of East Richland Friends Church.
- Students returning from the previous school year from other congregations.
- Students from other congregations.
